Adam Gallery is one of the best independent contemporary art galleries in the Czech Republic.
Located in Brno, Adam Gallery is focused on showcasing contemporary paintings and art objects by Czech and international artists, and has over the years simultaneously created an impressive collection of Czech and Central European paintings from the 80s and 90s, as well as newer pieces that focus on the current painting trends. The works collected by Adam Gallery include conceptual, minimalistic and geometric pieces by G. Miller, Thilo Heinzmann, and J. M. Voskuil to name a few, and top works from younger generation artists such as Butzer, Helbig, A. Lehman, Selg, etc. The gallery is housed in a gorgeous renovated factory building that dates back to the late 19th century – the building itself is a lovely sight for lovers of old industrial architecture. The factory boasts over 3000 meters of exhibition space that includes the main gallery, and two smaller galleries used for temporary exhibitions. Besides operating the gallery, the private art establishment is active in publishing and writing. Conveniently located only 10 minutes by foot from the center of Brno, Adam Gallery is easily reachable.
