Havlíčkovy sady, also known as Grébovka in Prague's Vinohrady neighborhood is an ideal place for a weekend walk or picnic.
This green and hilly park offers not only a spectacular view of Prague, but also places to enjoy a good cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Part of the park is covered by a vineyard with the Vineyard Gazebo which sits right on top of the vineyard and where you can taste local wine. Every year Vinobraní with wine makers presenting their great wine takes place here too. Among the main attractions of Havlíčkovy sady belongs Gröbova Villa from the 19th century, former residence of Prague’s businessman Moritz Gröbe. Another monument worth seeing is the Pavilon, also from the 19th century, built on a proposal of the prominent Czech architect Josef Schulz. If you fancy grottos, do not miss the recently reconstructed artificial Grotta, an unusual structure that features different levels, secret rooms and more.
