Cubist Lamp Post

Situated off of bustling Wenceslas Square on Jungmannovo náměstí is the Cubist Lamp Post.

Designed by Czech architect Emil Králíček, this lamp post is the only Cubist lamp post in the world. If you happen to be a fan of architecture the Cubist Lamp Post is worth a quick look especially seeing it is right off of Wenceslas Square in New Town. The base and glass lantern are quite beautiful and will influence you to visit more Cubist and Rondo-Cubist structures in the city. If you wish to see more architectural works by Emil Králíček, you can visit Hotel Zlatá Husa and the Adam Pharmacy – both on Wenceslas Square, and the Diamant House in New Town. These structures were designed in cooperation with Matěj Blecha.
