Royal Golf Club Mariánské Lázně

The Royal Golf Club Mariánské Lázně – where the love of history and the game of golf combine.

Established in 1905 - making it the oldest golf course in the Czech Republic - the original Marianske Lazne 9-hole golf course and clubhouse were created thanks to numerous requests from visiting spa guests. The premium golf course was built according to plans of the Scottish Professional Robert Doig of Musselbur; the course was, from the very beginning, popular with British and American golfers. It is interesting to note that HM Edward VII, the King of The United Kingdom, together with the British ambassador in Vienna became two of the first golf club members. The popularity of this reputable golf course soared; the course was extended to 18 holes in 1923. The rest, as they say, is history and today this golf course and clubhouse still hold royal appeal. In fact, in 2003, a great moment in the club's history occurred when HM Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom, granted the Golf Club in Marianske Lazne the right to use the title Royal Golf Club. The Royal Golf Club Marianske Lazne has 589 members that include both Czech and international golf legends. This beautiful golf course that is surrounded by a lush pine forest and the charming clubhouse serve as a fine example of Scottish and Irish golfing architecture from the end of the 19th century. The grounds feature the course, clubhouse and the Royal Golf Restaurant, perfect for further unwinding after a relaxing day on the greens.
