AP ATELIER

From its foundation in 1991, AP STUDIO architectural office in Holešovice has been headed by the highly-recognized and very significant Czech architect Josef Pleskot.

Ing. arch. Josef Pleskot is the holder of a number of awards and his works regularly represent the Czech Republic at international exhibitions. Josef Pleskot graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Czech Technical University in Prague, where he subsequently taught for several years. Since 1997 he has been a member of the Mánes Association of Fine Arts. Josef Pleskot gained inspiration in his architectural work from the Czech modern tradition. In the 1980s, he dealt with postmodernism and neofunctionalism. The AP ATELIER undertakes a wide range of projects from family houses and public buildings to large residential, office, and manufacturing facilities. In addition to many other important buildings, Josef Pleskot is the mastermind of the pathway through the Deer Moat at Prague Castle (Grand Prix award in 2000, finalist for the Mies van der Rohe Award in 2003, winner of the main prize of the Brick Award in 2004), General Consulate of the Czech Republic in Munich (honorable mention, Piranesi Award 2004), and the roofing of the service yard of Prague's Nostitz Palace for the Czech Ministry of Culture. The work of Joseph Pleskot's studio and his work in Czech architecture over the past two decades cannot be overlooked.
