The jazz club dates back to 1991 when it opened on September 29th, the day after the death of jazz legend Miles Davis; the name of the jazz club, Agharta is named after the 1975 album Agharta by Davis. Agharta Jazz Centrum has live music echoing throughout its cellar rooms every night of the week by renowned musicians from the local Czech jazz scene and also by talented international musicians. The cellar bar is cozy and features small, intimate tables where you can comfortably relax while sipping on the world’s best beer, fine wine, and cocktails. Jazz fans should be in the know that the Agharta Jazz Centrum annually presents the Agharta Prague Jazz Festival, a very popular Prague event that continues to grow and succeed.
