The end of 2013 should see the completion of Florentinum, which will be the largest administrative complex in Prague, complete with extensive common areas for the general public. The complex will be built on the site of the former Ceska typografie builidng in Florenc.
The Florentinum will offer over 49 thousand square meters of first-class administrative space on nine floors in an easily accessible location bordering on the up-and-coming quarter of Karlin and the Old Town quarter, in between the streets of Na Porici and Na Florenci. The Florentinum complex is the Penta Investments group’s first project in the Czech Republic and the estimated investment is about 200 million euros. The Prague-based Cigler Marani Architects studio is the architectural designer of the project.
The complex will be located in the immediate proximity of the Florenc metro station, tram and bus stops as well as of many important roads and junctions and will thus boast excellent accessibility. The businesses and companies based in the Florentinum (the first lease-contracts have already been signed), will be able to enjoy the highest standard of amenities, flexible layouts, underground parking on three floors as well as the use of energy-saving technologies and materials thanks to which the project has been awarded the Gold LEED certificate for “green” and low-energy developments.
Jakub Cigler, the main architect of the project emphasizes that the project will bring a positive change to a formerly rather run-down location and will create new attractive public space including a shopping arcade, piazza and garden. Visitors and tenants of the Florentinum will find a wide array of services there including restaurants, cafés, a supermarket and a pharmacy. During lesisure time visitors and tenants will enjoy the Desfour Garden, which will be complete with a lake and plenty of greenery.
