Perched on a hillside overlooking the crystal blue Aegean Sea, this traditional villa, built in 2000 on the grounds of an old watermill, enjoys a truly unique location in the mythological land of Kentavros by Pelion. A small river runs through the spectacular grounds of 5,097 sq. m. and a lively natural waterfall is the focal point of the estate.
The main house is 300 sq. m. and features an impressive entrance hall, an elegant living room, an airy dining room (dining space for ten persons), and a fully-equipped kitchen on the ground floor. On the upper floor, the master suite encompasses a bright open bedroom, while a marble fireplace exudes an aura of warmth and grandeur, creating a cozy sitting area. The master bath features a jetted tub. Two sunlit bedrooms sharing a comfortable bathroom are ideal for accommodating friends or for younger family members. Furthermore, there is a small hidden study with a balcony that affords stunning views of the surrounding area. The lower floor boasts two comfortable maids’ rooms with a bathroom and a large storage area. There is also an inviting family recreation room and a sauna to relax from a day lazily spent in the mountains or at sea.
A small bridge connects the main house with a picturesque, stone-built guest cottage of 110 sq. m. that features a living room with a fireplace, two guest bedrooms, a large bathroom overlooking a terrace and a kitchenette. The beautiful terrace, shaded by centuries-old oak trees, has an outdoor barbeque, built of stone. All of the buildings boast expertly crafted wooden floors, high ceilings adorned with chandeliers and custom-made plasterwork and moldings, and stone walls.
The garden has been skillfully landscaped and features a large swimming pool, adorned by a bronze dolphin sculpture. Whether you sit in the gazebo or the shaded area, the beauty of the place and the surrounding area is captivating. Near the swimming pool, a chapel adds a tone of serenity with its glass-stained windows, intricate woodwork, marble floors and more. At a lower level in the property, there is a volleyball court which can be also used for football. Furthermore, two of the watermill’s original wheels, dating back to the early 19th century, have been preserved and are now exhibited in the gardens, resembling an outdoor sculpture.
The property is only twenty minutes from a beautiful beach and half an hour from a ski resort and the International Airport of Achialos.
