The boutique Vodárna Residence will offer 16 apartments with a unique industrial character. This sensitive reconstruction of a historic waterworks building creates space for an exceptional style of living that has no parallels in Prague. About the project The listed railway building from the end of the 19th century was originally used to fill steam locomotives with water, and later housed offices, workshops, barracks, and apartments. The Neo-Renaissance building is now undergoing a sensitive reconstruction with an emphasis on the rehabilitation of the original craftsmanship details in their period design and on high material and craftsmanship standards. The entrance area of the Vodárna Residence will be decorated with cleaned marlite, and the lower part of the historic water tank made of original granite stones and polished concrete will also be visible. An atypical steel staircase will be created in the west tower, while the original preserved granite staircase will remain in the east wing.
Apartments The residence will offer a total of 16 apartments spread out over 4 levels with the following layouts: studios, 1-bedrooms, and 2-bedrooms, with sizes ranging from approx. 37 sq. m. to 84 sq. m. All three apartments on the lowest floor have a front garden, while 2 apartments (1st and 2nd floor) are duplexes. The interiors will have an exclusive design and innovative elements, and the unique feature of one of the apartments are preserved parts of the original tanks. The high standard facilities include multi-layered wooden floors, white matt wooden interior doors with paneled frames, M&T Lusy handles, recuperation, underfloor heating with remote control via mobile application, a preparation for air-conditioning in the apartments on the top floor, Ceratherm, Duravit, Geberit, and Laufen sanitary ware, and ceramic tiles and paving. The wooden windows are replicas of historical ones including the hardware, the entrance doors to the apartments will be new single-leaf doors with period profiling and black fittings. The security system will be Jablotron. A pram room will be available to residents. Each unit will come with a cellar storage unit.
Location The Vodárna Residence is located in the immediate vicinity of the Vršovice Railway Station, from where you can reach the city center (Main Railway Station)in 5 minutes. It is located right next to the newly built underpass that connects Vršovice to Nusle. There are several tram stops nearby, and the planned D line metro station will also increase the traffic comfort of residents in the future. A new bike path path, the unique Vršovice railway promenade, will also soon pass by the residence. The surroundings are full of greenery: there is a community garden next door, and it is possible to walk to Grébovka, Jezerka, or Folimanka parks or to Tyršův Hill in just a short time. The location on the border of Vršovice and Nusle has been developing dynamically in recent years. There are shops nearby, including a supermarket, restaurants, cafes, schools, and medical services, with a theater, a cinema, and a sports field within easy reach.
