Megatech, a producer of automobile components, has leased a new industrial hall of 10.000 sq. m. in size, situated in Brno near the Znojmo car exit from developer CTP. The Austrian company is hereby substantially expanding its production in the Czech Republic.
The Megatech company, which is among the leading European suppliers of plastic components for cars and trucks, currently has Czech plants in Jablonec nad Nisou and in Hlinsko. The new production plant in Brno is set to open in September 2016 and will at first produce plastic car linings for automobile manufacturers Audi and Volkswagen for which they will be supplied to Slovakia and Hungary. Megatech is also interested in supplying components for the Slovak Jaguar plant. It is planning to invest in the machine equipment of the hall, which could provide work for up to 300 people, cca 162 million Czech crowns. The Brno location has been selected by Megatech not merely due to its geographical benefits but also because the company would like to – when hiring engineers – take advantage of the Brno universities.
