Following a well-worn tradition, representatives of Svoboda & Williams attended two conferences on the real estate market this fall: Brno’s Real Estate Forum and Prague's Real Estate Market.
Panelists discussed current trends and the challenges in the residential and commercial property markets posed by regulations, consistently high construction costs, and interest rates.
The Real Estate Forum in October featured a debate on the new Building Act, which will start taking effect next July, and on Brno and Ostrava’s own construction regulations. Sustainability was a topic in every segment of the conference. “I’m happy that this issue is finally becoming popular in the Czech Republic and was discussed in Brno at every panel and behind the scenes,” says the owner of the Svoboda & Williams real estate agency Prokop Svoboda, who was part of the panel on this year’s trends and opportunities.
The Building Act was also one of the topics of the Real Estate Market conference held in Prague in November. Real estate market leaders talked about attractive investment opportunities or successful visions and strategies influencing the Czech real estate market, such as rental housing.
