Villa Alsberg is a gorgeous 19th century brick mansion situated in a prime location in South Amsterdam on the Museumplein (Museum Square – home to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum and the Concertgebouw concert hall).
The villa, a national monument from 1904, offers stately space covering five floors (1,245 sq. m.). The structure has been meticulously renovated – no expense was spared with the high-quality project. The restoration of the villa was guided as much as possible from the original drawings by the architect Pierre Cuypers and original photographs from the Amsterdam City Archives. During the restoration project, over three hundred stained-glass panels were reproduced and restored based on original photographs. All original murals were restored as well.
Features include high ceilings, central air-conditioning, parquet floors, decorative plasterwork on the ceilings, exposed wooden ceiling beams, wainscoting, handsome woodwork, a stone & brass fireplace, decorative stained glass, and more.
The Museum Square attracts millions of visitors annually. All services and a wide range of exclusive shops, hotels, restaurants, and other daily commodities are in the immediate area.
Usable area: 1,245 sq. m.
