Sorry pečeme jinak, or sorry, we bake differently, is a bakery in Brno that produces gorgeous and unique cake creations that are anything but boring and is also the creator of the famous Moss Cake.

The Moss Cake, made with pistachios, spinach and roasted crickets, is delicious and delicate and will definitely have you returning for more (yes, we said crickets), as will their great selection of other gorgeous, colorful cakes. The name of the bakery, Sorry pečeme jinak, should be an indication that you’ll not find your average Sacher torte here… with ingredients such as absinthe, black garlic, plum jam, cheese, and licorice in some of their cakes, you can bet you’ll never be bored. Besides cake, Sorry pečeme jinak also offers an array of pastel chocolate bonbons/pralines in interesting forms. The bakery-café itself is also gorgeous. Large windows let in an abundance of lovely natural light, and the dazzling interior is an attractive mix of old and new (think decorative crown molding with modern lighting and a modern color scheme, with a downright amazingly dominant geometric chandelier that features a lush group of descending origami cranes in a rainbow of colors). We can’t say enough about Sorry pečeme jinak. Let your taste buds take flight.
