The story of the fourteen houses that are currently being built on the banks of the Orlík Reservoir began to be written in 2017. This was the first time that architect James Cutler visited the place where forest meets water. A vision was born in his mind, which gradually became reality.
“The most valuable thing in the world is our emotions. That’s what makes us who we are,” says James Cutler in a short film that captured his thoughts about the Přístav project. The world-renowned architect had emotions in mind while designing its fourteen houses. In his words, they are being created as a space for strong emotional experiences, which will also teach the future inhabitants to love the surrounding landscape. As the houses will be set in a sloping terrain and will be equipped with large-format windows, their connection to nature will be immediate.
Construction is on schedule. As spring approaches, so does the date when the grounds around the houses will be landscaped.
