Apartments With an Exceptional Genius Loci: the Unique VII. Dům Residence Now Part of Svoboda & Williams’ Residential Portfolio

More about VII House

The reconstruction of this originally Renaissance burgher house was realized by architects from the renowned FormaFatal and Atelier SAD studios, who approached the project as if it were a work of art. The final result highlights the building’s uniqueness, respects its long and rich history, and returns original natural materials to it (e.g. oak floors and new wooden windows).

At the same time, the building showcases contemporary Czech design—stone portals made of Božanov sandstone, handmade Baxa ice glass elements, Czech designer lighting, and artistic yet elegant common areas.

VII House contains 17 apartments with layouts ranging from studios to four-bedrooms. The spacious units on the highest floors offer views of Prague Castle and the St. Vitus Cathedral, while those on the lower floors have original vaulted ceilings and face a quiet, poetic courtyard. Tucked into the attic is a generously apportioned almost 300 sq. m. duplex with renovated beams and windows facing all four cardinal directions that also flood the interior with daylight. All units are equipped with the highest quality facilities.

Owners will appreciate coming home to a prestigious address in the middle of Lesser Town away from the main tourist area. Famous restaurants, urban amenities and services, and highly rated schools are in the immediate vicinity. Several magical accessible palace gardens or the nearby slopes of Petřín hill provide spaces to relax amongst the greenery. The river and Mánes Bridge can be reached by a pleasant walk through Valdštejnská Garden.

The name VII House playfully combines the number of the building and the concept of astrological houses often used to write up horoscopes. Moreover, the number 7 is a lucky and magical number in astrology.
