More about the Vodárna Residence project

This former railway building from the end of the 19th century is being completely reconstructed. Work on the Vodárna Residence, which will wrap up soon, will result in 21st century standards and comforts with an industrial flair. The most exceptional of its units is the largest apartment, which the architects have set directly into the steel structures formerly used as water tanks to fill the steam locomotives.

The five other available apartments range in layouts from studio to two-bedroom, all offering more conventional living yet with an ingenious interior design. “The smaller apartments have ceilings with a height of almost four meters and large industrial windows, making it possible to install elevated loft bedrooms that separate the quiet, private zone from the social area without compromising on the airiness of the interior,” says Eva Grusová, senior property consultant at Svoboda & Williams.

The striking poetics of its architecture as well as its interesting investment potential make it an attractive residential project. The location is going through a dynamic transformation and a new nearby underpass connects Nusle to Vršovice. There are several green areas in close proximity, including the popular Grébovka Park. Residents’ transport options will expand in the future when the new metro D line or a bike path is added to the neighborhood.

Final approval of the Vodárna Residence is scheduled for May 2024.
