The stone house was built in 2000. With an over 150 sq. m. floor area, the interior consists of a living room with a dining area and fireplace, a fully fitted traditional style kitchen, and two bedrooms with en-suite limestone bathrooms. Wrapping around the house are terraces large enough for al fresco dining.

Much has been done to ensure the grounds of 106,000 sq. m. are cultivated to ensure self-sufficiency. There is a vegetable garden, olive grove, chicken coop, and large, magical forest ending in two pristine beaches. Solar panels cover its electricity needs and a decalinator provides unlimited fresh water. Walks, stargazing, boat riding, and other outdoor activities can be enjoyed close to home, or venture out to the port for donkey rides, strong Greek coffee, or a delicious meal. The island, separated from the mainlaind by a narrow strait, has managed to maintain its traditional lifestyle and its environment is carefully protcted. 

The wonderfully secluded property is accessed either on foot or by boat. A water taxi will take you to the house's private dock in 15 minutes from the main port. Since cars are prohibited on Hydra Island, you will get to know its quiet streets and paths like a local.
