The legendary restaurant Alcron in Hotel Almanac X Alcron Prague offers a premium plant-forward menu under the baton of Chef Richard Bielik.
The restaurant, which after its re-opening focused on a plant-forward menu, offers modern cuisine, consisting of flavorful plant-based dishes. However, it is not strictly limited to this, so even meat and fish lovers will find something to their liking. Vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, fruits and seeds are the basis of plant-forward cooking and eating. This direction works with more plant-based ingredients, but does not adhere strictly to vegan or vegetarian principles. The author of the new menu is Head Chef Richard Bielik, a chef with rich professional experience who brings fresh ideas to the Czech gastro scene. After receiving a culinary degree in Prague, this innovative and creative chef began his professional career in his native Slovakia, and subsequently worked in the leading Prague hotels Mandarin Oriental, The Grand Mark, Augustine, and Le Palais. His work in London's Kitchen W8 (with one Michelin star), La Bottega Tusarova, Café Lounge, and Taro is certainly worth mentioning. His last place of work was the restaurant Zem in the Andaz hotel, whose concept and success he participated in from the very beginning. The new menu is based on local ingredients, seasonality and mainly plant-based dishes. Richard Bielik plans intensive cooperation with proven local farmers, whose quality products he would like to make visible to the general public. The popular lunch menu remains on Alcron's menu. Richard's main vision for this area is simplicity and lightness. The lunch menu fulfills the attributes of easy-to-eat, easy-to-go and easy-to-prepare, all while complying with the strictest gastronomic requirements.
