CBRE Wins the SVOBODA & WILLIAMS CUP Indoor Football Tournament

The first year of the indoor football tournament which took place on November 23rd in the Sparta Arena in the Podvinný Mlýn area saw ten teams representing some of the most important Czech real estate companies fighting to win the SVOBODA & WILLIAMS cup. The aim of the tournament was to create an opportunity for real estate professionals to meet in an informal setting as well as to support a good cause. The whole proceeds of the event which amounted to 41,700 Czech Crowns and included financial contributions from all the companies involved as well as raffle proceeds went to the Dobrá rodina (Good Family) non-profit organization, an organization that provides support to foster families taking care of abandoned children.

The tournament was attended, apart from the winning CBRE team and the organizing SVOBODA & WILLIAMS team by five-member teams representing the companies KNIGHT FRANK, Cushman & Wakefield, 108 AGENCY, LEXXUS, DTZ Czech Republic, JONES LANG LASALLE, AIG/LINCOLN CZ and Albatros Design; the teams competed against each other in two groups of five teams. The two best teams from each group went on to the semifinal, while the teams that placed 3rd to 5th also fought for placement. In a dramatic final CBRE eventually won over SVOBODA & WILLIAMS 2:1 while the bronze position belonged to AIG/LINCOLN. Individual awards went to Jiří Cacák from CBRE for best player of the tournament, Jakub Gajdoš from JONES LANG LASALLE for best goalkeeper of the tournament, and René Breila from SVOBODA & WILLIAMS for top scorer of the tournament thanks to the nine goals he scored.

Prokop Svoboda, the managing partner of SVOBODA & WILLIAMS and one of the players, sums up the tournament thus: “We're really happy that the event went well and we're hoping that it will become a tradition. We also want to thank everyone involved for their participation and their monetary and other gifts. Thanks to them this year's SVOBODA & WILLIAMS CUP fulfilled its charitable destiny.” During the tournament whose organization was taken care of by the Czech Sport Media Company children could spend time in the children's corner provided by the Pididomek children's studio. Refreshments for everyone were provided by Prague Catering while the raffle prizes as well as prizes for the winning players and teams were donated by the HYPNOSE clothing boutique, the La Bottega di Finestra shop and eatery, HM Sport Adidas, and the La Cave d'Adrien wine shop. Stylish presents for all the little fans were provided by the Renocar Company.
