Work began in September on the groundwork of the exclusive alpine chalets named after a local glassmaking family. Designed for clients looking for the highest level of modern comforts with sustainably run facilities, yet surrounded by pristine nature, one of the homes has already been sold and the other is still available.
The modern mountain chalets were designed by the renowned architects from the QARTA Architektura Studio with respect for nature and the local tradition. They interpreted the unique charm of the old cottages when they created housing that ties into the special atmosphere of the area, while adding the highest standards available in the 21st century.
Both houses offer a generous floor area of 250 m² set into the terrain. Above the entrance level is a spacious open plan space with a kitchen, dining area, and living room with a suspended fireplace and access to the terrace. In the basement, a spa with a sauna and lounge with a kitchenette will have access to the grounds. The attic level will accommodate three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and three additional spaces for sleeping or working.
The atmosphere of the energy-efficient homes is completed by a large garden designed by the Flera studio with mature trees, a fireplace, water features, and a seating area. Large glazed walls and doors ensure that homeowners will be able to enjoy close contact with nature even indoors. Another major advantage is the project's location far from the nearest town, guaranteeing complete tranquility. During the day, residents can explore the sunny meadows on the southwest slope and the surrounding dense forests, and at night gaze up at the immense starry sky.
