Cyril Dejanovski, the business director of the Svoboda & Williams real estate company, took part in a panel discussion at the CEDEM 2017 international real estate summit. In his contribution, he discussed recent trends in the commercial leasing segment, emphasizing the increasing demand for offices with flexible lease terms and co-working centers.
The growing demand for this type of office space is, according to Dejanovski, generated by start-ups and smaller companies that plan to quickly expand and wish to avoid long-term commitments associated with leasing regular offices. Svoboda & Williams meets this type of demand by offering serviced offices with flexible lease terms, situated in the most lucrative parts of Prague and Brno.
Another significant trend Dejanovski mentioned is the effort of many companies – mainly in the IT sector – to offer their employees an office which is more than just a place of work. Such offices typically feature entertainment (billiards, ping-pong table, etc.), a fitness center, smart technology, a bistro, and a company nursery. In this time of record-low unemployment rates, this is how some companies hope to keep their employees and attract new ones.
This year's CEDEM conference took place on September 14th at the Prague Marriott Hotel and offered a total of six panel discussions on current real estate topics.
