Trio of Unique Duplex Apartments Currently Under Construction in a Traditional Residential Area Near Dívčí hrady

The residential building from 1925 is currently being completely reconstructed. Its attic will be extended to make room for three duplex apartments with three-bedroom layouts, practically divided into a private and a social zone. The lower level will consist of three bedrooms, one of which will be a suite with a walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom. On the top level, there will be an open plan living space with a kitchen and dining area extended by a terrace. Since the building is set on a slope, the three penthouses will be accessible from Pod Závěrkou Street via two steel footbridges.

The residential area in which the apartment building stands is full of residences from the 1920s and 1970s. The entire district has a unique character, mainly due to the sloping terrain, winding streets, and many well-maintained gardens. Another advantage of the neighborhood is its easy reach of the city center and proximity to the open green spaces on a plateau with views of town and country. Once the new terminal of the Smíchov Railway Station will be ready and the nearby large-scale Smíchov City project will be complete, the area’s infrastructure will be greatly improved.

Work on the extension has now reached the second level. The duplex apartments are scheduled to be finished in summer 2022.
