Svoboda & Williams will soon offer dozens of apartments for rent in one of the most closely watched residential projects in Prague. Smíchov’s Lihovar by the developer Trigema is emerging on the left bank of the Vltava River, combining the area’s unique industrial atmosphere with cultural and fine dining experiences.
The developer’s concept behind this project in a new residential neighborhood is for residents to enjoy Lihovar’s unique atmosphere at different stages of their lives. A portion of the sprawling complex has been set aside for rental housing. “We began working with Trigema on Karlín’s Fragment project, where we found satisfied tenants for most of the 140 units even before the building was approved. Together, we created a new type of residential housing in Prague,” says David Šimeček, head of residential rentals at Svoboda & Williams.
According to Šimeček, each of Trigema’s projects represents a new idea of how to live in the city, and so he expects Smíchov’s Lihovar to build on the success of Fragment. “Although Fragment is currently fully occupied, people are still contacting Svoboda & Williams about it. I trust that the majority of them will be charmed by Lihovar’s unique style,” he adds.
The residential project is emerging on the site of one of Prague’s largest former distilleries, Fischl and sons, whose legacy can be glimpsed in the chimneys, saw-tooth roof, and red brick facades. “The premium equipped and fully furnished apartments capture the character of the area, while the highest quality home technologies and services will see to the comfort of their residents,” promises Šimeček.
Lihovar has the ambition to become the cradle of the Smíchov Riverside modern neighborhood, designed to make social interactions and events easy, whether they happen within its glazed courtyard, in one of Prague’s largest food markets, or in one of the art galleries. The Smíchov district is currently being thoroughly revitalized, a process that will jumpstart a new era in which it will be one of the most sought-after parts of Prague due to its many original residential projects, highly developed infrastructure, and major traffic calming measures
