E-commerce Expert Shoptet Moves to Port7

Shoptet, one of the most successful Czech start-ups, was recently looking for premium offices in a unique environment with a community atmosphere. Port7 meets these requirements not only in terms of its location, but also its regular cultural events for tenants, locals, and visitors. "The new, generously apportioned offices offer clients extraordinary views of the river and will also feature two private and shared terraces. There is also the option to rent event space within the project. These were the reasons that convinced the client to relocate there," says Petra Schinkmannová, senior consultant at Svoboda & Williams, who exclusively represented Shoptet during the transactions.

Shoptet is the largest Czech provider of e-commerce solutions, currently operating 37,487 e-shops. This constitutes one third of all online stores on the Czech and Slovak markets, with an annual turnover of 59 billion crowns and 35 million customers per year. With its emphasis on community and excellent customer care, Shoptet is a natural fit for the lively, dynamic, and community-centered environment of Port7.

Thanks to the Port7 project, a formerly neglected brownfield has been transformed into an area with a new lively Vltava River embankment accessible via a pedestrian underpass directly from the Holešovice Railway Station, which offers space for work and leisure time activities. Since its official opening in September 2023, it has contributed to the improvement of the Holešovice neighborhood with a newly built 17,000 sq. m. park and new Vltava River promenade with regular public events. The film screenings and Christmas markets held by Port7 in the second half of 2023 have drawn attention to the complex and more and more people are becoming familiar with this new and improved part of Holešovice.
