Svoboda & Williams has mediated the lease of a total of 1,200 sq. m. of office space, which will be used as the new headquarters of Konektor media group. The group, which consists of several PR and marketing agencies, has leased a historical office building on Karlovo náměstí Square.
Until recently, Konektor’s offices were located in a building on Náměstí Republiky Square, which will soon undergo a complete renovation, and so the company contacted Svoboda & Williams with a request to find an office building for them in the center of Prague. After consulting with them about their needs and priorities, Svoboda & Williams presented Konektor’s representatives with, among other properties, the three-story building on Karlovo náměstí Square 17, which suited them the best. The building is part of a historical complex constructed in 1900 according to the designs of court architect Rudolf Tereba and was previously used as a stable.
“The building on Karlovo náměstí Square captured the client’s interest due to its location in a quiet courtyard, yet in a busy, central part of Prague, and the availability of an underground garage with up to 25 parking spaces,” says Jaroslav Waldhauser of Svoboda & Williams.
“We were looking for office space that would capture Konektor’s sense of creativity, and so we tried to avoid traditional office buildings. At the same time, we wanted to remain in the center of Prague. Jaroslav Waldhauser of Svoboda & Williams understood our rather specific needs and quickly presented us with several properties that met our requirements. The building on Karlovo náměstí Square caught our attention right away with its connection to history, and the landlord also agreed to most of our demands for the renovation and modernization of the space,” describes Petr Rydl, CEO of Konektor a.s., which is part of the Konektor group.
